Thanks for all your vote and comments! I've been away hiking this past week, and came home to find "Low Tide" among the DPC ribbons! A delight to place among the ribbon winners, especially on my 50th entry.

Awesome title to an equally awesome beach shot with that quiet symbolism of father/son mirrored in the two sea stacks in the foreground (including the shape of their heads!) and the mysterious sea stack in the background as the unseen generation, grandfather who looks on unseen from off the edge of the frame, evoking a sense of greater than time and space...lovely and one of my favorites in this challenge!

Reflected Passion

Odd, but to my eye, the two in the photo don't seem very passionate in their embrace; rather, they seemed posed, a bit staged, with the woman's eyes looking blandly at the photographer, almost removed from the man's one handed "embrace". Good concept which could use some work in better coaching the models to set the appropriate mood.

A classy entry though the title doesn't fit IMO. Lighting is good except for the lowest portion of her thigh. The removal of arms also makes this out to be some kind of modern day Venus d'Milo. 7

cool set up, though the photo would have had that extra WOW factor if the straw had been illuminated like the neon star behind. Good lighting!
