Winter Wonderlandby timmotykaComment: Foreground is overexposed, along with the brightest whites in the tree. The black background is blurred, losing that AA sharpness in the full range of zones. A beautiful image nonetheless. |

The Edgeby dickwilhelmComment: Lacks confidence in sharpness. Whites at top are overexposed. Apart from these nitpicks, the subject is strong example of AA's style. |

Longs Peakby dacrazyrnComment: One of the best I've seen yet. Great range of zones/tones, good detail in the copse of trees below and snowfields above. The only part which lacks something is in the mid section dark forested area, where details of tree textures are a bit lost for over shadowing. Great image. |

The day's end.by MontereykiddoComment: Excellent seascape, with special emphasis upon the lighting on the water as it emerges into the ocean. Great lines. Good clarity. Perhaps lightening up the expanse of sand to bring greater tonal variety in that interesting texture would help. Still, a great photo. |

Ode to Anselby rod_the_ghostComment: The backlighting of the tree causes us to lose the clarity of detail of texture within the tree. Apart from this small matter, the photo captures AA's style well. |

Mossy Woodsby denitoComment: Wow! This photo has a lot going on. Perhaps too much. Where is the focal point. The mossy hangings also seem a bit blurred. Perhaps they were moving in the wind? I like the variety of tonal range found in the photo. |

American River Canyonby 4scoreComment: Excellent use of full range of tones/zones while capturing the details of the landscape. Composition is a bit off, with the base of the tree cut off along with a right hand major branch and the small white weed/flowers making a corner impact without seeing where they are coming from. I like it though. Nice work. |

Looking thruby NunoComment: The background is blurred. AA didn't do a lot of portrait work. All the same, here's to those in the medical field, our local heroes! best of luck |
