Won't appeal to everyone but I think it's spectacular. Her nonchalant, indifferent pose and expression are perfectly matched to the grainy textures and stark BW appearance. The way her hair seems to blend into the dark negative space at left is perfect. This one goes directly into the faves and I'll be back to see who pulled this off after the challenge. Congrats!

An absolute tour de force of color, detail and lines, all amidst wonderful simplicity. The background blend of pink into green is beautiful. This is a shot that I expect from only a few DPCers. I'll be anxious to see who pulled this off after the challenge. Beautiful and straight into the faves.

May not appeal to some but I really like the perspective distortion. The colors are brilliant and it looks like early or late sun - absolutely golden hues! The sky is positively unreal. Great job!

A very unearthly and abstract feel. It almost looks like a science fiction movie ideal of an alien creature. Nice use of dof and the colors are just spot-on. Outstanding shot!

Crossed legs

An unusual candid. Good eye for composition. The elements work together nicely. Conversion to BW is excellent - would not have been nearly as effective in color.

Hostile surface

Nicely done. That's the Sea of Rainbows (half buried crater on the left), also known as Sinus Iridium. This is an excellent shot from an astrophotography perspective (from someone who knows how hard this is) and a very nice artistic composition!

Beautiful Eyes

Great composition, wonderful personality and life captured in her face, but the lighting and focus seem just a bit off (her skin comes off a bit too yellow). In a portrait like this, the eyes are the powerful draw and they need to be absolutely nailed. Notice how the eyes are a bit soft and the lips seem to be the sharpest focus of the image.
