Thanks, I appreciate the comment... was entirely my fault in this case...
Mostly cropping some sky and untidy edges:( |

I know... I am so stupid. I mis-read the editing guide and cropped in... no other edits.
I work on Brick Lane in London which is a perfect location for capturing amazing graffiti... I wrote a brief blog post featuring shots that I took as inspired by this challenge...

Iconicby PixelstateComment: Hi All,
Thanks for taking the time to comment. I think that the feedback is all valid.
I think that overall I fell into the trap of trying to re-create a shot that I captured of this scene earlier in the year. I pass this on my commute and in Winter this coincides with sun-rise so the light is more striking.
The composition is too busy and the scene has an overall 'muddy' feel...
Examples from dawn to illustrate my point... not perfect but better candidates with better separation of the boat and bridge (or isolating the bridge completely)
Thanks
Chris

Yes (again) - It took a look of effort to make this :) |

Added the color version to the coments for comparison. |

I decided to convert to Back and White because it brings focus to the lights themselves and simplifies the scene.
