This is a striking scene.. the haze in the background really helps focus on the subjects. I am divided on the cropping off of the players. I wonder if a lower viewpoint taking in the whole scene would have improved the shot. Good work, and good luck

Very easy to access. There is off-road parking literally minutes walk away from Cooks Meadow... Yosemite Valley is a very accessible location for some beautiful scenery... go, just go :)

This is the iconic Yosemite Falls taken from Cooks Meadow in Spring 2011. I was very lucky to experience snowfall this late in the year. I was the only person around at dawn to capture the first light of day and the morning mist.

This is not the strongest composition but with such beauty it was hard to get a bad shot. It was incredibly peaceful with just the occasional distant thunder-crack of ice falling to break the silence.

I wrote a brief blog post related to my morning in Yosemite with other photographs taken at the time.
