Puppy Love (pure and boundless)by SteveSeeComment: Same thing, but with the puppy on the right, so that he is looking into the image, would be much better. Then the empty space would take on some meaning, as the "place" the puppy is looking, pure and bright. |

How whiteby nialljallenComment: The composition is very weak. Zooming in more on the light, or cropping it so that it is not in the center would improve it. A bug on the ceiling would really add interest. |

Vegetarian's Delightby dunamisComment: Photographing food is tricky. A viewer's reaction to the presentation of the food will override everything else. In this image, the food comes off quite un-appealing. (I think it's the combination of foods) You did set yourself a difficult photographic challenge, and pulled it off well. Getting the highlights of the cauliflower in front of the shadow on the plate is a nice touch. |

my dogby guztavComment: The overall effect is of a snapshot, where the subject is of most importance, rather than photographic or artistic effect. This isn't a bad thing, but makes the photo most interesting to people who know your dog, and less interesting to everyone else.
A picture of the dog doing something more exciting, such as playing in the snow, or looking up at the camera expectantly, would give this image wider appeal.
It is technically very well done. |
