Turn a Deaf Earby mandyturnerComment: Nice shot, I like the DOF. The grain of the shot and B&W gives it a timeless quality and the lighting on the eyes is really great. The composition is just a little off, perhaps because of the blown out highlight on the forearm on the lower right, maybe more of the arm/elbow would have helped. |

Dog Days of Summerby JeffryZComment: What fun! I wish there were fewer dog butts (sorry) in the shot and we got to see more of their faces. But I really like the two dogs in the surf - the illustration of so many dogs enjoying themselves in different ways really makes the photo. 7 |

Life's a Long Hard Climbby riotspyneComment: Wow - great image. The art direction and style are really wonderful. The image of the two ladders really sells it as well - that things aren't even a straight line struggle. Well done. 9 |

Real Women have Curvesby GKPhotosComment: I like the colors of the shot, but the composition is a little off (I know it's hard with dancing subjects). The dancer's hand obstructing the drummer is rather distracting as is the rafters of the roofline.
Could be sharper focus or maybe some more creative cropping and post-processing to work with isolating some portions of the frame. |

The ball's in your courtby bigjComment: A good illustration of the saying, but the color on the ball is a little blown out. A little bit better framing on the whole composition might have helped as well. 5 |

The Dawn of a New Dayby shalrathComment: A very interesting illustration of the saying. I wish the dof had one of the pawns pin sharp, but I like the moodiness of the amber lighting. |

Smile and the world smiles with youby OdieComment: Great portrait. I wasn't quite getting smile from him, not that his visage isn't pleasant, but it wasn't really making me smile thereby driving home the saying. |

"Eating Crow"by alligatorheartComment: Wow! Great art direction. Very creative, I like the use of period style. I just wish the "crow" was a little easier to make out (you know, cuz that nest is way too small for a crow). 7 |
