I assume this is smoke - and the title implies you can smoke without increasing the chance of dying. I doubt that that hope is a reality. The image itself has some nice pattersn/lines but the tonal range is so slight it becomes un-interesting quickly.

I keep hoping my computer will generate income...

Looks like a beautiful dog - very intent. However - the image is fairly "muddy" - which menas there are no really srong whites in this case. There are good blacks and a lot of grays, but the grays are grouped together on the tonal scale. May be better if the left side were cropped off as it adds little. I really doubt if a dog understands the concept of hope, but since it was a hard challenge to shoot.....

A fairly nice scene but the exposure is a stop (or more) over. The washed out colors pretty much destroy it. Composition is ok - but the guy with the ball on the left edge pulls you out of the image.

Moody and emotional. The position of the shoulders does indeed invoke a feeling of hopelessness. The strong diagonal OOF log in the foreground is really unfortunate. Exposure seems perfect.

Fairy Tale is next week. Great lighting, the black background works well for this. Exposure seems perfect. I'd suggest you should crop out the nose altogether by cropping down from the top.

Moody - I like the overall blue cast for this. Compositon is OK - but it seems the rock and the word should probably be a bit closer together. Overall a strong image that should do well.

This image give a soft warm feeling, very nice. Lots of emotion keeps it a high score that would be higher yet if a) It was not so centered, and b) The border was less detracting. Thanks for sharing a very stong entry.
