Genuine Pearlby AlbireoComment: wow what colors, I realy like the colors on this one. I don't get the title but that didn't effect my score. I like the lighting, the shadows, and how crisp this image is. The only thing I have negative with this shot is it too "studio" for my personall taste. I think I would have prefered to see this sitting on a sandy background. Giving it a more natural feeling. Nice job.. keep up these great shots comming. |

Smoke... anyone?by turcrazeComment: well it's not pleasnt to look at. While the re are some greatl lines and curves around the ashtray. There is also alot of good contrast. The picture is however badly out of focus. I personally would like to have seen A more ineresting and pleasing subject for this challenge. |

Renewed Loveby tristaliskComment: This was my first attempt at a DPC challenge. Personally I'm confused at the 10's I received. Its an old rusted emergeny gear box for an old truck. I wanted a red rose but only had yellow left in the garden. My thought was to have a fresh lively rose hanging out of and old rusted chest. I though the candle light would add some atmosphere to the photo, and hide the fact that the Box wasn't hollow. I was not happy with this shot but I think I might try the concept again with a beetr box and lighting. |

Hoarby sulisComment: I do get to laugh a little at the fact that you managed to squeeze a flower into the marco challenge. Im guessing this is pencil shorpener shavings? While th photo is too grainy, and not extremely exiting to look at I felt I still had to give you a couple extra points for you creativity with the "flower". |

Macro of a Planeby valterjComment: I feel that a macro could best be desribed as taking a photo of somthing in such a manner that you would get the feeling that you were an inch tall. Everything around you that was before so insignificant is not dazzling in it intricacy. The hairs on a leaf, the way sand apears as boulders, or the way an an't has somehow become larger than you. This I don't feel fits what I would consider a macro. |

Untitled 1by ursulasComment: gold bar? 500 what? are the #'s pressed in or sticking out of the object? Why are they mirrored? So many questions to vey anser in this shot. I like the colors. I even line the shodws with the exeption of the shadow looking like the reflection of the photographer. I feel that this was not detailed enough shot to allow the viewer to feel and see what it was that drew you to taking this shot. But still above the average in this challenge. |

Autumn Leafby flip89Comment: It seems like a pretty average shot to me. Its is definately a good macro. Just not vey interesting except maybe to a botanist. I did however go to a 6 instead of my average 5 because I liked the colors, it is a very clear and sharp image, and as for a close ups of a leaf it is a bit moreinteresting than most. |

Macro-Tiniby DCThiessenComment: I was initialy amazed at this shot the colors. the bubbles. I was in rapture... well not quite but I liked it. Then I notced the desk top icons on the ball. slowly the process came together. and I realized it was just the reflection from a monitor. It was not some brilliant lighting schem as I had originaly thought. Then I was sad. T put it simply this went from a 9 to an 7 just because of the icons. This is a great shot I would definatly have to reshoot. and add to my portfolio. Not trying to be harsh but i feel that honesty is the only way to improve.. keep up the good work |

Septemberby jrs915Comment: I like the curve of the plants on this one. I also enjoy the slowly dissapearing plants in the background. A very Pleasant shot to look at. Feels a little weak in fitting the challenge. I also vent a little low due to the lack of comlexity it just dosn't keep me interested for long. Just trying to help.. just saying why i didn't feel a 10.. keep up the good work. |
