I feel that this is a little weak as for asmeeting the challenge however it does meet it. The shot is not very exciting to me. I think that I would have foung it more apealing if the lighting had been better. The front duck has a bright spot on his chest that looks to be from your flash. The picure also apears to be grainy. like it was cropped too much or shot with too low of resolution. Most likeley this was cused when scaling down or uploading. Pretty average shot to me. 5

wonderfull shot. This would have looked a bit better without the blurry bird in the foreground. While a technicaly good shot and a very pleasant shot too look at. I feel that you did not capture separation. I see the two boats in the distance. I cant tell that ones with boys the others has girls. There is no way for me to make that distiction without the title... spectacular shot that does not meet the challenge IMO 7

very pretty shot with lots of nice colors but I'm forced to ask where the earth? Without the earth in the shot as a noticable element Iam unable to associate this with separation.. As is without the title I would have no clue what separation you were trying to portray. No separation but a great shot. 6

wooo hoo one of my favorite words in the english language.. and it dosn't fit an a scrabble board.. I feel that your shot represents the feeling of discombobulation and separation very well. You may get voted down for it abstract apearance but you get a 9 from me.

Not bad just looks like the same shot I've seen before. perhaps a broader veiw with the pawn sepated from the rest of the peices would have worked better for me.. As is the DOF is to shallow. I want to see the other peices. It's a little too dark and the chess board shot from the side at a 30- 45 degree angle seems to have been way over done. I don't mean to sound harsh but hwen you here even the best of songs on the radio fifteen times a day everyday.. it gets a bit old.. technicaly not a bad photo. I just can't get interested in it. 5 to remain non bias agaist chess boards.

A majority of the shot is great. The biggest thing that gets my attention as being off is the man. He is waaaaaayy too soft. he apears to be bleeding into the rest of the shot.. other that that its a great shot. The sand a water look great. The pose is pretty good. I think i would like too have seen his face a little though. .. could have been a great shot.. but with the bleeding I can only say it's pretty good

Not a very flattering shot IMO. However the lighting and sapia tones are nice. Good crisp focus and lots of contrast. In general the shot is great. I feel however that without the title I get no feeling of separation. perhaps if they were separated with the child reacing out for his mother it would ahve worked alot better for me.. as is the separation is weak. The pse is also unflatering the angle look akward on the woman. The childs face looks a little weird.. no offence to the kid or his parents. .. I'm pretty sure it's just the angle.. different set up and this would have nailed me for a 9 or 10 as is .. better than most but not quite a ribbon.

ok we have a candle on a peice of ice, on a mirror. While mildly interesting it makes no sense to me.. technicaly it's ok. it's in focus, the colors look right, and the rule of 3rds was used.. but alas it looks like a candle on ice on a mirror. There seems to be nothing to it.. I'm not even sure where the separation is that you are trying to portray. is it the fire and ice? The solid to liquid? The two mirrored setup causing a duplicate?. I'm sorry but its just a run of the mill shot that dosn't fit the challenge to me..

ackward and not apealing to me.. the harsh colors of the tree just do not set well for me. While it is an interesting shot I don't feel it fitts the challenge. Without the title I would have no clue what you were thinking. With the title I feel its a pretty weak connection. As for the shot itself I feel that more natural lookin wood would have looked better. Or perhaps even a shot from futher way leaving the whole tree as a silloutte.

I like it the green and red contrast .. the two walking away from each other. The look on her face.. This is a shot with a story to tell I like the concept. However there are a few things I don't care for as well the line going across the top of the girls hair. The rocks also are difficult too look at out of focus. I fully understand the reason for having the boy out of focus but it just dosn't work well for me.. Great shot with a couple of little imperfections.. gets an 8 from me
