Ssssteamby robbiehComment: Good motion shot. I like this. I wish you'd moved back a bit to get a bit more of the kettle's height in the frame. Other than that great shot! |

Real Powerby mliborioComment: Heh, nice blender. I wish mine had all these features. I like the black and white on this. I'm not sure I like the framing. I would have cut off a tiny bit more from the left hand side to make it more symmetrical :) |

Mom's Chinaby KimInNBComment: Great photo. The composition is a bit busy for my liking. I would prefer if there was not such a glare on the plates, or if you couldn't avoid that, not on the roses! That's very distracting, i'll admit. The depth of field is pretty good in this. Perhaps it would have been better without the plates, and only the cups. |

Strawberries and Creamby kandyjComment: hehe, another splash! I do so enjoy the splashes. Improvements. I would have prefered this if it didn't have the other strawberry in there, and if the background colour was more appealing. There's a certain graininess to it, but that doesn't matter to me. Well done, you captured the splash well! High marks from me :) |

Fading to Goldby smellyfish1002Comment: Greetings from the Critique Club!
Now, it makes me wonder sometimes why people ask for a critique when lol, you don't need it!
I can't think of much that you could have done differently. Maybe if you'd gone further down to the right to get more in, but you really didn't need to.
The light is perfect. I love how the middle arch seems to glow in the sunlight. The little lights above the bridge seem to draw your eyes further into the photograph. That reflection of the light on the water is exquisite, it looks as if you can walk on it.
The architecture of the bridge is lovely too. It looks like a weird craft, the way the supports are made to look like boats carrying the weight of the bridge. It is all captured here magnificently.
The only thing I would have done to change it?
I would have cropped out the shaded bit on the right of the photo. It takes out a tiny bit, like half an inch of the photo, but, then none of the bridge would be in the shadow. I just love it.
Well done. The score also reflects that a lot of people loved it.
Great job

Goodbye Cruel Worldby ArtifactsComment: I think the critique was a little short, so let me add a bit :)
Good idea to put the egg on the mirror. A few people did that, but not quite the way you did. What is not very attractive is the white gunky stuff which is in eggs. That stuff makes me think of phlegm, and make the image a little less appealing than it could have been. The other thing I find offputting was the splotches of egg white which didn't want to remain in the frame. It would have been almost like a leading line to have the bottom splotch down at the bottom of the frame inside, which would have added continuity. I hope that made sense.
Things I really liked: The lighting is superb. Absolutely magnificent. I like how there is no glare on the egg, and just nothing is over exposed at all, which is almost a miracle. I also like the simple colour scheme you have here of the egg yolk and the white of the shell. It's so simple. I'm not sure if you meant for the grainy feel on the top of the egg shell, but there's a program called Neat Image, which you can get on the internet (just go to google.com and type neat image and it pops up), which will get rid of graininess. It doesn't always work, but sometimes the results are stunning.
Well, good luck in the future challenges! You've been doing great so far :)

Lovely Number Sixby boyte1Comment: Yes, it is! I love this photo. I'm not usually a fan of flower shots, but damn, this is stunningly part of the challenge, and just strange enough to catch my attention. I like how the 6 is the most in focus bit. well done. |
