What a pretty picture - it suits the challenge perfectly! I think the composition would be stronger if you had rotated and then cropped so the the back edge of the wings made a diagonal across the picture with the tips of the wings on either third.

This picture suits the challenge very well. It is clear and well taken, too. However, I think the composition could be improved by putting the butterfly on one of the thirds. Also, if the whole butterfly was in the picture it would be more visually appealling.

This picture suits the challenge very well. I like the cold dreary look of it. The composition might be better if the bird was on one of the third. Also, if the focus on the bird were a bit sharper it would really add to your picture.

Clever take on the challenge. The picture is fairly well done (focus could be a bit sharper) - the composition of this picture could be improved very much by cropping so the crumbled sack was on one of the thirds rather than so centered. Also, the border is so wide that it is overwhelming the picture.

Wow - what a different and unusual butterfly. It looks just lke a leaf. Your picture is very well done. If you perhaps could have taken this beautiful butterfly with some leaves that showed how it blended into the leaves it might have been nice.

In the woods...

Very suitable for the challenge. The composition is very good but the focus is off, the only thing really in focus is one little bit of green stuff by the bug's front leg. If the focus on the bug had been sharp and clear this would be in ribbon territory. This is really a gross looking bug - hoping to find out what it is at the end of the challenge.

Suits the challenge well. Perhaps a little more contrast would have given it a bit more zing and perhaps a bit of change in the crop so her very shapely behind was more on one of the thirds. Also, the border is a bit wide for this narrow of a picture.
