The lighting and setting for this photo could be better. The bright light in the background distracts attention foreground. Using something other than a concrete patio would improve the aesthetic value of this photo. The focus on the cat could also be sharper.

While I can appreciate the statement you are making with your title, I don't think this is a very good photo to enter in a photography contest. Do you really think anybody wants to see a picture of your dirty toilet?! I, for one, don't. On the plus side, at least it's in focus.

Reach for the Floss

I find this to be a pretty boring photo. I can't say I would want to hang a picture of floss on my wall. This photo is also out of focus. The light reflection in the top center of the picture is a bit distracting. Some suggestions to improve your photography: try setting the floss in a more interesting location, or show somebody using the floss to add some interest to the picture. Also, read the manual for your camera and learn how to lock the focus on a specific spot.

I don't find this photo very interesting. The back light seems too harsh (and blue). The wrinkled pages are distracting, though I like the shadows some of the wrinkles cast.

This photo isn't very interesting to me. The lighting is flat- no highlights or shadows to add some range to the image. The large area out of focus hurts my eyes when trying to look at it- the brain wants to read the words but can't make them out.

I think the majority of this image is too dark. The truck is the only element that seems to be properly exposed. I like the humor in the shot. Unfortunately, I don't find a picture of a messy garage too aesthetically pleasing, so my score will reflect that.

This is a pretty dull picture- the lighting on the subject is flat with no interesting shadows or highlights. The colors all look faded as well. The most interesting part to me is the lines on the plate in the lower left.
