plaster parrot under glassby undieyatchComment: I'm not sure what you were going for here, but the reflections in the glass are a bit distracting and the bright highlights in the background windows draw the eye from the main subject. |

Ready for Winterby DrAchooComment: Nice job with what appears to be a difficult, high dynamic range exposure. Did you use a flash? |

Northern Cardinal by timfythetooComment: Nice and sharp! I like the soft background and the color. My only suggestion would be for a different crop- the way it is right now feels a little heavily weighted towards left of the photo and is taking my eye out of the image rather than in. |

Parrot Passionby classycamComment: The lighting on this shot is a bit harsh for my tastes (looks like direct, on-camera flash). Perhaps diffusing or adding another light source would help produce some interesting lighting gradients or shadows. |

War Cryby trevytrevComment: I like the sharpness and action in this shot, but in my opinion the dynamic contrast between the highlights on the beak and the dark space at the edges of the photo is a bit too harsh. |

Red Hot Rod.jpgby sailracer_98Comment: Originally posted by dlukens: Wow, nice shot. Did you have to do any post processing and if so, what all did you do? |
Thanks for the comment! I shot this in RAW format and boosted saturation slightly, and also increased sharpness in the conversion. Then in Photoshop I did a slight adjustment to levels and that was it. |

My blue-eyed boyby LenaComment: The flash is a bit harsh on this shot. Maybe try covering your flash with some white paper or cloth or bouncing it off the ceiling to soften it a bit. |

Lilyby smartypantsComment: This is too soft for my tastes and lacks a focal point. |
