Ericby kellianComment: While I like the clarity and framing, I feel like I'm looking through a peephole at him. Lens distortion? Could be purposeful, but if so I feel the title could better enhance the idea. If accidental, a different lens perhaps? |

My Daughterby singaleComment: Beautiful girl and lovely photo. Unfortunately the treatment (Neat Image I'm guessing) removes too much facial detail and makes the photo less appealing. |

Daddy I want a dove for Christmasby mpalitangComment: Originally posted by mpalitang: Originally posted by nshapiro: Very good action shot and exposure of the bird, but the scene makes it look too much like a snapshot. On a studio like background (and maybe with the babies eyes open) this could have been a winner! |
I agree 100% with all of this! I guess I need to find cheap ways of creating a "studio". |
A fairly inexpensive solution that would have worked in this case is a large piece of fabric draped over the couch and onto the floor. I use black moleskin polyester and it is TERRIFIC for absorbing all of the extra light. After a little bit of burning in PS, you can't see the fabric at all. All of the photos on black in my portfolio are on this fabric. :-) |

Angelaby NonageComment: This is beautiful. I would printit on canvas and hang it. I love the quality of the light and the warmth it adds to the photo. Truly beautiful model as well. My only nitpick is that I'd like to see a bit more at the top; it feels like a mistake to crop out only a teensy portion of her forehead. Still beautiful work. |

Lovebugby just-marriedComment: Monica - thanks for bringing that to my attention. It was the result of masking the mother's knee out without accounting for brighter monitor settings. I've replaced the photo with a better version now, and it should be invisible. Thanks for the compliment on the shot too! |

Insert Coin for AFby mariomelComment: Very creative. This photo exceeds the challenge requirements: while the bokeh does add interest to the photo, this goes one further by providing interest in what would otherwise be an uninteresting photo. Taking the mundane and making it interesting is a skill indeed. Good job. 8 |

Betty - The Sunset in Her Eyesby nsbca7Comment: Fabulous the way you managed to match the background to his coloring so well. My only complaint is that he feels a bit chopped off at the neck, I'd have preferred to have more of his body in the shot. He is a gorgeous dog. And my apologies if he's a she. |

Out of the Thicket by BeagleboyComment: Very nice indeed. The framing is terrific, and I love the level of detail you managed to capture. The background really accentuates the downy softness of the feathers. Great work. I hope to see you ribbon. |

As Daylight Fadesby SkipComment: Quite fabulous. I don't think it could be improved in any way. My choice for blue. 10 and added to favs |
