Nice image, especially if you are involved with the subjects in any way. You've captured a wonderful expression which creates an emotional response. But not really what I think of when I think macro.

Seems blown out. And I can't see what I'm looking at beyond just abstract positive and negative space.

Good workman like image. I like the greater shadows on one side. Maybe just a bit mre contrast overall would have helped.

Good picture technically and probably difficult to get focus just right. If it were me, I'd move the subject a little to the right or left to make the comp more interesting.

A darker background, even deep black, would have set off the image better. The light background, and how much of it there is give the photo a "blown-out" look. Otherwise I like all other aspects of the image a lot.
