Peacock Featherby mandypComment: This is interesting. The quality of the capture is so good it reveals something of the structure of the feather I never realized before. Thanks. Hope it does well. |

Poison Oakby postoakinversionComment: Nice subject well captured. For my taste, a bit too much background and a bit too little subject. White on the left is blown out. if you backed off on brightness a bit, would you still have had texture in the background on the left? |

Old Feather Quillby drydocComment: The strongest element of this for me is the brilliant use of negative space. Everything else is technically superb. Hope it does well. |

Simple Leaf, Not Simple Shotby markmyshotsComment: I am sure this was not simple to shoot or post process. Superb in evry way but the crop which feels a bit to centered for my eye. Still nicely done. |

Nautilusby flip89Comment: Brilliant photo. This feels like a ribbon to me. I can find much to praise and nothing but nit picky minor things to nag about. It's such a beautiful image, I'll resist the temptation and only wish you well in the scoring. |

life and death... like pedals.... carried away on a gentle breezeby camelotnorthComment: Nice image that convey deep emotions. I like the colors and contrast. Nice use of negative space. However the image is a bit noisy and doesn't feel like a macro shot to me. If you cropped it to include the bottom 60% of the image, and used something like Neat Image to reduce the noise, I think it might be better and still convey the emotion. |

Big Eye for the Hoverfly Guyby yukiComment: Yet another (great) bug shot. Well captured, focused, exposed, ... I might have cloned out the dark spot above the wing which detracts a bit. |
