...With Fur and Wingsby ellamayComment: The mechanics of the photo are very good. The subject matter pulls it to the middle of the bug pack for me. |

Follow the Light!by SonifoComment: I did not expect to like this when I viewed the thumbnail, but something about the shadow attracted me. This is really a superb image. The overal composition and teh shadow are the strongest features which I might have tried to accentuate a bit. Well focused. good DOF. If it were my image, I might have tried for a bit darker shadow. |

Spin Your Tail Feathersby slgardnerComment: Interesting compositionally. Good colors. Possibly a bit too brightly lit. Would benefit from multiple light sources i think. |

The passionby Mad-DComment: Thanks you for the non-stereotypical image. (not a bug, not a flower) I like a lot of the aspects of this but would have liked it a bit better with greater DOF I think. |

Tobogganby menardmamComment: Great idea and title. It would be better if the focus on the bug were sharper and if the bug was a bit more differentiated from the leaf behind. That might have been possibly with different lighting. Good job. |

Office pins and bandsby PDavisComment: Very colorful image. I can see this hanging up in a gradeschoold classrom with a motivational message below it. I think it could be quite successful commercially. All the mechanica are good. Well done. |

Sparkling Wineby ScantyNebulaComment: Composition is strong enough but colors need a bit of work, at least when viewed on my monitor. Looks more like Corona than Champagne. Wonder if you are working in sRGB color space on your PC. If not, they may have shifted. |

Grandpa's Watchby joebokComment: Arguably the best techno-macro shot inthe challenge. Just superb. My only suggestion and it's pretty nit picky, would be to use just a bit more USM. This may well ribbon and should be among top tem from my perspective. |

Cheeseclothby GeneralEComment: I like this a lot. The flow of the cloth leads my eye around in a pleasing way. Very nice use of negative space. Non-stereotypical subject helps a lot and provides relief from the bugs. Hope it does well. |
