Veinsby jonrComment: On my monitor at least, this is too dark to see any detail. |

atlantic fruitby byoungComment: Among the best I've seen so far. I was attracted to the thumbnail, and upon opening it, I was far from disappointed. Very nice image in every way. Even the spider web seems well thought and it's addative rather than distracting. |

Lavender "Bee Bold"by biggood53Comment: For some reason this doesn't rsonate with me much. I guess I don't understand what you're trying to say or the emotional payload you're trying to deliver. There are a few technical quibbles but in the end, my discomfort is with the subject and comp I think. |

Ace of Spadesby troyloxComment: Superb shot which nicely delivers on the Botony theme. Translucence of the leaf is very effective. Razor sharp focus is fantastic. How you did it with the dark dark background is a mystery I hope you'll do a tutorial on. |

Mushroom Among Moss and Leavesby lagavulinComment: I'd never eat that mushroom. It looks radioactive. Seriously, it's a nice photo which I like a lot. It could be a bit busy around the edges but the desaturation helps some. I am sure getting sharp contrast between mushroom and grean stuff in background was hard. But in the end, I can't quite get past the radio active color of the mushroom. |

Red Roseby TLL061Comment: Nice subject and composition in spite of its dead center approach. Focus on the center bud is nice and sharp. Colors feel a little flat ot me. What was your lighting setup? |

"Sweet Pea"by FreebieComment: Good colors and comp. The shallow DOF field means many of the blossom and blossom parts are not in sharp focus. It's an ideosyncracy of mine but I like to have something in razor sharp focus and it bothers the heck out of me when I can't do it in my own photos all the time. |

Sunflowerby spydrComment: Classic capture of a classic subject. Interestingly, for me the background may be the photo's best feature. It conveys a "Tuscan Sun" sort of feeling. Nice job with that. |
