I like a risk taker and am willing to accept some risks in the photos I score. This has things about it I like. Decent focus. Good DOF. Decent composition. And white teeth. Nice white points and black points. But in the end, I'm sorry to say, I can't get past the subject.

I like this very much. The contrast between white points and the rest of the image makes it quite appealing and dramitic. Motion blur also helps with the dynamic feel. Among my top picks.

Very nice capture of a pefect subject. Very nice definition of the body of the locomotive -- rivits, pipes and all. It would be better if the sky wasn't blown out, IMO. A friend of mine owns a working antique steam locomotive. I have ridden in the cab on the foot plate. Fascinating experience I hope you can enjoy if you haven't already. Among my top picks.

Wonderful choice of subjects. Focus on wax is superb. Nice reflections bring a sharp white point into the photo which helps. Overall composition good. I suspect you chose DOF intentionally but IMO it would be a little better if the handle was also in sharp focus. Just personal preference. Among my top picks.
