This is a tough one for me. The photo is very dark but perhaps that is what you were looking for. For me having it so dark make the photo not very appealing.

As a photo this does not have much interest. A closer view of the rings might have helped. The wrinkle on the right hand side is also a bit distracting. It also looks like your resizing of the image added some jaggies to the image.

For me just a bit more DOF would have helped, maybe just enough to get a little more of the electric razor in focus.

Short Straw

Nice idea but I have a few problems with this photo. The shadow makes it look like the hand is resting on a surface, as I assume it was, which is not what you would expect for someone holding straws for a choice. The hand looks fake, I donĂ¢€™t know if that was the look you were going after or not. The photo is darker then it needs to be. And there is a fair bit of compression artifacts showing.

I like the setting you have setup for this photo. I also think the colors work well with each other. For me this would not be a hard choice, just drink both.

I know that by now you have already heard this but here it is again, the photo is way too small. You will lose a lot in the scoring due to the photo being so small. This photo is also very dark, this will hurt you score as well.
