I think I'd like the composition better if the two people weren't dead center. Perhaps moving them more to the left and showing more road in front of them. I like your interpretation of the challenge. Also, it might work better if the image were sharper... but hard to tell on the small size. I too made the mistake of submitting too small of an image on my first submission, and got beat up pretty bad for it! :) Overall, I like it.

Was a tripod used? I think this is lacking in definition and might have been improved if it had crisper edges and the fountain was more clearly defined.

I think this might be improved upon if the lighting were such that the spokes could be seen better. much of them are hidden in the shadows leaving a disconnect between the axis and the rim.
