Classic photo here. Exposure is right, there are plenty of details at the boats, the "mood" is obviously excellent. I think it would have been even better if the rule of thirds was applied, including for example more water than sky or the opposite. Good luck (7)

Very good, except only an apparent tilt of the coastline.
I think it would probably look better if this tilt was corrected in post processing, but it's still really fine.

Star trails won't appear under some certain conditions. At first the mount has to be well balanced. Next step is a carefull polar alignment and finally the autoguiding of the mount is correcting slight imperfections. The whole procedure is quite hard sometimes and demands patience and precision.
The Takahashi EM200 mount if the 1st and 2nd condition are satisfied, is capable of delivering 4 to 5 minutes of unguided exposure, for the given focal length of the imaging scope (600mm).
