If you hadn't put your reasoning in the title I'd have really been confused about this photo in this contest. Perhaps a wilted plant next to an empty watering can or one filled with dirt rather than water. |

It's a One-Cent Worldby fredluvsHimComment: Good idea, but so badly out of fucus you're probably getting very low scores. If you have a manual focus or macro mode on your camera you should use thos on a photo like this to get a better focus. |

Where am I?by arnitComment: Strong silhouettes and nice background, especially the gradient. The subject isn't as interesting as it could be, but it ceratinly fits the challenge. The brush on the right should allow more light between the bristles. |

Out of the Blueby paganiniComment: I think this is a little too subtle for the challenge. It's a nice picture, but it lacks punch. If you want to draw focus to the red plant, then REALLY draw attention to it. Perhaps a closeup of the red flower with the others making up a slightly blurred background. |

Plowing the Forestby scrum8Comment: Beautiful picture. The green moss really draws attention to that side of the photo rather than to the subtle elements which you were trying to bring out. I would try cropping that out and see if you like it any better. |
