Janine, if you'll ever come in Italy, in the Dolomites National Park, this place is in Sospirolo (provincr of Belluno, in Veneto).

It's called "Mis Artificial Lake" and it's located right after the beginning of the park, a few miles off the city of Belluno.

You can park right there and reach the lake with a 1 minute walk!

I'll post a few more photos for you to see what a beautiful place this is!

You're right, it probably would have looked better without the blur, or with a less invasive one; I shot this while playing with Tilt and Shift and had very little time before I had to rush home, I should have shut the aperture a bit, reducing the blur.
