A Break In The Silenceby GolferDDSComment: RUN FORREST! I mean....running deer IN the forest!!!! Nicely composed action shot! Since it's a break in the silence, I'll assume it's no longer silent, which unfortunately is the theme of this challenge, so this photo doesn't really work in that regard. Works in so many other ways though. :) |

Be Quiet!by mirdonamyComment: Looks like hand is ghosted image due to movement/slow shutter speed. Good idea with edge lighting around head for separation from background, although it's been blown out into total white. Liked that one eye is hidden from view. Keep it up. :) |

The Only Time She Is Silentby thumperComment: Ouch! You'd better hope your photo doesn't take top honors, or she might accidentally see it proudly displayed on the dpchallenge homepage!!! ;) |

Read in Peaceby mitsukaiComment: Nice soft focus/lighting and thoughtful pose. Would like to see what model is actually doing off frame. Arm cropped off at wrist now makes hand look like an undiscernable flesh-colored chin support. Needs t more arm so viewer's mind can complete the mental picture puzzle. Background kinda distracts rather than helps, wood floor doesn't lend enough contrast to bring out shape of hand. Good potential, keep it up! :) |

The sound of Silenceby RegoComment: I like the pose and composition. Face and hand out of focus, but shoulders look great! ;) Harsh lighting on face and distortion make for interest, but theme of silence could be explored a little deeper. Keep it up. :) |

If a tree falls in a forest...by RichT8496Comment: A different idea and a great shot. Pencils got a little clumped/overlapped on left which made for a darker, more prominent area of the photo (not sure if that was intended, but it's competing for my attention with the fallen pencil). Other than that, very cool! :) |

By the Firesideby mquesnelComment: Lots of distracting stuff has been framed/included in this pic. Closer focus on the couple would improve their impact/participation in this scene and not the room's. Photo editing could use stronger push for better/brighter detail. Like the idea, a few technical details and you're there. :) |

Field at Restby gingerbakerComment: Interesting cool blue cast to photo. I assume it was added/left on purpose, although it seems to lessen the impact of the tress and fence posts against normally white snow. Still, it's different. :) |

Lost Hopeby DsealeComment: Yeah, I know the feeling.... I wake up feeling JUST like this on Mondays. The tape seems to be doing all the talking in these photos, wish there was more to look at. Lighing is rather flat, could use more directional lighting for better modelling (highlights, midtones, shadows). |
