Melt Downby soupComment: Oh yes, I want to try this :) I have seen many shots in this challenge that imho deserve to ribbon and have added this to my list (so you should be in the top ten lol) Good luck (bumping up 1) |

Scorching Dawnby Bear_MusicComment: ooh, I can see travel mags wanting this, so much room for their sales pitch in the negative space. A lovely minimilist approach to the challenge. I may have 'stretched' the truth with the title though as (to me) sunset has more warmth to me than sunrise? bumping to an eight. |

1400°C by gaurawaComment: I'm not a pyromaniac - honestly but I am strangely drawn to flames. This is an excellent closeup and almost abstract. It may be my eyes after looking at this for so long but the match isn't quite horizontal to me (bumping to an 8). |

White heatby KHoltComment: Wow, that is some flame! Normally flames and B&W don't work but I think you made a bold and wise choice here, I think a colour shot would have lost some detail of the complexity of the flame. The finishing touch for me is the rather nonchalant look of the chef. A good luck bump of +1 |

Hot Springsby shankswareComment: I like this a lot more second time around than first (second pass I like to spend a little more time)Considering the springs were probably glowing white anyway I think you have done a great job with the exposure and the composition is (for me) spot on. A very clean and simple looking image that was probably a dog to execute (bumping up 1) |

Bringin' the Heat by jenesisComment: I like what you've done here. I think the lighting is spot on as well as the depth of flame, I can see this being a dpc favourite. Its almost central but wonder if further away from central (either up or down) would help a touch? am thinking it will score well however :) |

Hot 'n Spicyby Breeee123Comment: I supose the question is did you lay the peppers on the floor, hang them from the ceiling or pin them on the wall? (don't tell me you actually tossed them from the pan lol).
A well set up shot, nicely focussed and well composed/lit, the red on the bottom of the pan finishes off the meeting of the challenge well. Good luck and a little bump to help you ;) |

The Burning Sunby GIS_boyComment: The more I look at this shot (3rd visit) the more I like it. There has been talk in the forums recently about dpc 'colours' and imho this is an example of what they mean, I can easily see this sitting with a ribbon next to it. The angle used is inspired and I'm constantly drawn to the end of the pier then up to the sun down the rails and ready to start again with the left hand rails keeping me in the frame. The light on the floorboards is fantastic.
ok, am starting to ramble, good luck (bumping up 1) |

Heat by frictionby TrollManComment: One of the few times I'd agree a UV filter might be a good idea. Great shot and I like the cropping (7) |

A Fan to Coolby bcobleComment: I'll not get into the semantics about the portrayal of heat here. I think this is a well taken, nicely composed image with a spot on exposure. I like it enough to bump up 1 (to an 8) |
