New Mexico Skyby MadMan2kComment: Well, I had to return to the rules for this shot, it actually said 'from the ground up' and muppet here misread as 'from the ground looking up'. This is looking across but yes, meets the challenge. Nice BIG sky and IMHO the inclusion of foreground grass sets this shot off well :) |

Displayed With Prideby idnicComment: ooh, sensor dust :( I think this shot could do with a slight rotation to straighten the image. Nice sky and vibrant colours on the flags. Off centre subject was a godd choice :) |

Framedby hannekeComment: This is a great portrait! I love what you have created here but, would prefer it if either the hands or face were sharper (I'm hoping for your face lol) |

Simpleby taljComment: Hi T, its your nemesis here!
Your composition (as always) is very good and the title apt. I'd like to see all of the leaves in the shot and even though my eyes are getting bad I think it could be a little sharper? A nice deep black bg that leaves (intended) the viewer to concentrate on the subject.
Judy is right, this would have been a nice take on 'Zen'

I've sat here for more than my normal 30 seconds lol and wondering if I like the pot being visible or not.....
.... have decided yes, it adds some reality/grounding to the flowers and shows off the neat angle you chose :) am getting several ideas browsing your portfolio.
Now, I have issues with my black cloth background, care to share your secret? |

Sometimes the most simple/mundane subjects can realy 'pop'. I doubt I'd have even thought of shooting those seats, am glad you did and I love the effect. Have never tried this style (but shall). Can't say anything bad about this, the composition and 'mood' says it all :) |

Hi Debbie, one thing I want to try is Candid photography (am too shy). For me this goes further than 'just' a candid and is a great photograph. there is so much I like about this, the scene, composition, colour in the brick and weathered frame. Would I change anything? probably not, at first the angle/perspective put me off a little but now I think it adds to the voyeurism/candidness. I also thought about desaturating all but the little girl but the bricks have such a rich colour and the coloured curtain helps balance the shot.
At first glance it might be seen as a snap, but it tells a story and its growing on me, thank-you for showing it. |

Hi again Jeff. Now, it might well be my monitor but my first thought was the foreground was a little dark, opening it up in CS showed much more detail :)
The light on the trees is great and most likely the main reason for this shot? It doesn't possess the 'WOW' factor we all strive but I like it. The horizontal branches on the right add that little interest that helps the image :) The only bit that worries me (nit picking) is the bit of branch just above the left hand tree. Light skies rarelty work for me but the light pink tinge on an almost white sky helps the overall effect imho - another shot to be happy with :) |
