Very nice composition and whilst I like what the LB has done I think I'd have preferred the sweet spot on the gate (or am I being too literal with my thoughts?). and, ordinarily I'd not be too fond of the overexposed snow but here it really adds to the image for me.

ok Colleen I'm going to call you out here, I bet you don't even own a Lensbaby (or camera) and sit up all night with your pastel paints creating these wonderful images! I like both version but the layered one adds more weight to my idea ;)

Now, you can help me here, starting from the bottom left there is a half circle of 'swirl' leading up to the top left, I was under the impression that this ring comes from an out of focus sweet spot, so a) is that true? and b) was it intentional? I have the ring on lots of my shots but rarely on purpose but do like the effect.

I see the great title spawned some equally good comments (what do you guys smoke btw). The LB blur leads you nicely up to the in focus part of the building and as has been said those birds finish the image off nicely.

Am glad you put them together Steve, it works well and between the two you have the sweet spot covering all thats needed. Am torn between that super yawn or the cool profile. am thinking you should print a 6x4 and pass it to the nice owner next time you pass him ;)
