Retirement - The Last Day in Schoolby mannjuditComment: This is a beautiful picture of a handsome man with a wonderful expression! The flowers do get in the way along with the unknown blurry object at the bottom right. On my screen, this is a bit over-bright, which unfortunately may be the only thing you can fix. Too bad, you have a good eye for timing. |

Republican Oppositionby tony927Comment: I doubt my paper (Gannett press) would ever publish this... but maybe they should. Nice lighting. Great expression. Good capture of on-looker. (think the title should be "Democratic Oppostion" since it is not Republicans who are doing the opposing...is it?) |

Iceland joins the space raceby dorinnComment: Hilarious! The picture could appear in a paper. The title might appear in a paper. Would they appear together? I doubt it. Still, very funny! The best laugh I've had all week! Thanks for sharing! |

Flooding Continuesby weavercComment: Beautiful, high contrast! Just what a paper needs to print. Composition seems to suffer from the vertical of the tree and its reflection bisecting the photo, however. |

The Art of Modern Danceby MadMordegonComment: The photo has merit, but the over brightness really detracts and, for a newspaper, the really needs to be much more contrast. |

Elderly folk have computer lessons.by chookieComment: This is a nice subject and title. I don't undersatnd why the monitor and its display are so fuzzy, however. I think, too, that this would be improved with a straight horizon line. |

Boy trapped in abandoned mineshaft!by trainComment: Decent job of maiking a model appear life-sized. I think the contrast might be heightened in this a bit and some of the heavy shadows give the illusion away.
A note of humor, the "Lassie" photo appeared directly after yours in my line-up! Together the two are just hilarious. |
