young one admires a traditional celebrationby PalaiteComment: You seem to have missed the challenge topic.
Beautiful scarf and detail on the embroidery. Your title suggests the boy is the "subject" but he's too out of focus. The man with the cane, among other things, creates a distraction in your image making this feel like a snapshot. Keep trying, you'll do better next time. |

The Beaded Doorby KarateKidComment: Striking image! I like the way the light streak across the eyes blends the face with the other lights. B&W and the graininess makes this a classic. Feel the balance is a bit off with so much space to the right--but with more black space to the right....? Not a great fit for the challenge as "Waldo" is an easy find. |

No Teethby GolferDDSComment: Nicely found! I think the frost gives good context to a "seasonal" item gone rotten. The inclusion of leaves on the right seems so appropriate, but the crop still bothers me--I'm not sure why, maybe it's just too even top, bottom and left--that's hardly much to help you, just want more weight below the pumpkin, I guess. |

Reflections on Manby KylieComment: Complex! There's something wonderful about the colors here--just a neat pallet of off-primary. I would seldom recommend a border, but perhaps a small line, inset, would help the image from spilling out of the frame. |

The Watchmanby AndremComment: Sharp! There's just no question why you took this photo. Snapshot-like, sure. But show it to an uncorrupted grade-schooler and their sure to laugh at what you saw and perfectly conveyed. ( I suppose you could also color correct so that there's less of a yellow cast to the snow, but I live in a valley where this is the reality.) |

Unhappy Staplerby thommoComment: Cool face--looks like it's bracing for the next impact. Interesting frame effect, and am curious how it is achieved....Unfortunately, it detracts interest from the subject. Yes, it needed a frame to contain it, just not sure this one's the right one. I note a second face above--the happy part with red eyes that's ready to hammer the one below.... |

Ohh Nooo !!!........Mr Billby Links 2 3 4Comment: Love the face! I think you might have done better without the distracting context, though--that lower left corner in shadow adds nothing for me. |

Oberon's Queenby KDOComment: Eerie! But a bit lacking in contrast and the inclusion of the uninspiring sky doesn't help. Amazing find, nonetheless. |
