smoke breakby drphillComment: Seductress with a cigarette? She's got way too much attitude to be bored or boring.
Interesting environmental portrait. It feels washed out--would be nice if the black of the eyese was actually blacke. Strangely tipped hoizon makes me wonder.... |

five of heartsby weska54Comment: Caught in mid-air! Choice of hat is excellent--other props, not so much. I think your idea for the challenge is good, but the lackluster background, the harsh shadow from the flash cast against the subject's hand....If you removed everything except the hat and the cards, what would you lose? |

Detecting Ennuiby CutterComment: Triangular! Composition is strong. The sunset red on the tan skin comes off as a bit too orange, though. Stretching the challenge topic, but didn't we all? |

Blue Vaseby protophotoComment: Liquid blue! Interesting abstraction. Love the blue. The border is a bit over-done for my tastes--but not too obnoxious. As for fitting the challenge?....and I'm giving a lot of latitude. |

out-stare a tortoiseby whiteroomComment: Crisp composition! Like the choice of B&W and the vignetting. Never heard the expression in your title before...but you've met the challenge well. |

Wondering what he's up to...by Everyday ReneeComment: A pretty portrait. Nice use of high-key and soft focus to create a mood that works well with the expression. I know titles aren't the main focus here, but that title with this image makes me think "...and I bet he's wondering what you're up to." Perhaps something simpler like "Longing" would have worked for my fickle ear. |

Meby TrollManComment: Dreamy! Nice expression. Wish that either the wall were less of a textural feature or that there was more definition in the hair and face--just seems that the strength of the wall is fighting with the subject for attention. |

Death is in the Windsby chefsamComment: Moody! The lighting creates a nice bit of interest--the setting is interesting. Wish that scaffold (windmill blade?) wasn't growing out of your head, though. |

Glassmanby gudbjargarsonComment: I like the lighting and the empty space. Technically crisp. Bothered by the split image of the eye where the lens creates a double, though. |
