Rubix Cubeby I Enjoy HamComment: Games, puzzles and the like are interesting to me. I recall a cousin of mine spending hours fascinated playing with his Rubix cube. So, for me, the subject is not a good fit for the challenge.
The photo itself has interest, however, The limited DOF, the play of colors, the subtle reflections work well. I think perhaps a square crop could add even more as there seems to be no good reason for the extra white space on either side. |

Waiting for my new lens wondering if "Postal Service" is an oxymoronby p3wizComment: Wonder if the lens will be delivered to the box with the smiley on it.... :-)
For me, waiting is filled with anticipation, anxiety, dreams, hopefulness, and the imagining of new and exciting things...hardly boring to my active mind. I feel a little bad saying it on your photo, as there are so many others in this challenge that try to make "waiting" fit in, but I had to say it somewhere. So forgive me, please.
I see a lot of interesting light play on the mailboxes--if you had gotten closer, perhaps you could have featured it. The receding lines provide a graphic quality, but without a true subject they just seem to be "there". |

When I'm Bored... I Shoot Cranky Pictures!by spreadcomComment: Beautiful detail! Lighting, decent bokeh, DOF makes a statement...
Your title demonstrates your attempt to leverage the challenge topic--just couldn't get geared up for this one, eh? :-)
(It will be interesting to discover your location in the photo notes. I see that a bolst has been applied to keep the machine from being operated. Historical park, perhaps?) |

Numbering Fingers. I know someone who did this.by Nikolai1024Comment: Well....I guess you would have to be bored to do something like this....
These look like the fingers of a guitar player (are those callouses?). But in that case the fingers are numbered incorrectly for the fingering charts. I'd rather see an image of the subject actually applying the numbers. It just doesn't do it for me subject-wise. Sorry. |

Decisions, decisions.by jeffzoetComment: Bored must be a purple mood! Symmetry is interesting. As for the challenge topic...indecisive, contemplative: yes. Bored? Not so sure. |

Focusby SjonComment: You appear to be missing two tiles--with "e" and "d" you'd get 3 more points and a 50 point bonus for playing a seven letter word. :-)
The lighting is interesting--really renders the subject well. Limited DOF seems to play to your subject, but I'm not sure why you chose the "o" over the "f". Then there's the question of what kind of "board" or "bored" you were going for..... As I love Scrabble and play it with interest, I find your image's statement puzzling. |

Awaiting Rescueby photomayhemComment: Obviously you were going for something here that I don't quite get. Can't make out what the box represents. Lighting is a bit too harsh. Sorry! :( |

Lazy dayby jigglebugComment: Interesting angle. The shadow from the sandal on the left is nice as it extends the subject. Focus seems a little fort. Wonder why you cropped the way you did and why you didn't crop out the gray blotch at the left? |

lots of boardsby thefotogComment: Pretty light! I'd like to see just one of those posts in true vertical, though. (And I'll leave it to others to comment on your choice of topic for the challenge.) |
