Classic Carby PaulMdxComment: Nice shot. You have managed to keep yourself out of the reflection quite well. I think B&W help create the atmosphere for this shot. |

Baby is comingby grosmongolComment: The focus is a little soft on this image. Perhaps from being too close to the subject or perhaps related to low light. |

Vautexby BLEEComment: This is a great effect - I'm sure you will have many people asking how you achieved this. I hope you share your secret. I'm guessing a simple drop of water falling onto a printed page - simple yet effective. |

Recycleby GeneralEComment: Nice way of meeting the challenge - the whole concept of recycling is quite circular. |

Blueby Geo_GriffinComment: I like the concept, the lighting and the colours. Unfortunately I would have preferred a larger depth of field - not enough of the shot is in focus. Other than that it's quite good. |

Battlefieldby ClubJuggleComment: Critique Club:
Composition: I like the composition of your shot. The two cannons are nicely framed and they make me wonder what is out to the left of the frame. They do, however, blend heavily into the background and are relatively hard to see. I like the aspect ratio of this shot and it looks like the shot was taken from low down, which I also like.
Technical Quality: The black and white conversion let's your shot down. It looks like you might have had exposure problems with a very bright sky as well. It may have been possible to convert different colours to grey differently to provide more contrast between the cannons and the trees.
Meeting Challenge: I like your approach at meeting the challenge. It's not the most literal interpretation, which is actually nice.
Overall: I really like the composition and content of this shot. Personally I would try to convert to grey scale again - I'm sure there are some people who could help out with creative ways of doing the conversion (or search the web). Well done. |

Play Ballby Crafty SueComment: The quality of this shot appears to be very poor. Perhaps a lot of digital zoom was used. It almost looks like an effect. |
