The Cloud Machineby primabarbaraComment: I think i have seen a similar one somewhere, a long time ago. In a book maybe, but i cannot seem to remember where.
I like the composition and the perception of a wind blowing to the right (the position of the clouds, the tilted tree and the concrete whatever_it_is).
Really, what is that thing? |

Autocumulus and domeby markwileyComment: Powerfull composition with minimal clous. I like it.
I think i have seen a picture similar to his one. Probably in a book, but i cannot remember which one.
Can't wait for the challenge to be over to see where it was shot. I wonder whether it's a church or a mosque. I like the mistery. |

Engine No. 1by daevansComment: Too centered for my taste. Both the horizon and the subject.
Nice clouds, though. |

Navigating the Mazeby davidwComment: I had a similar idea, but didn't manage to get a photographing permit from the railways authorities on time. My asking nicely approach was rejected nicely :-) "You really need a permit, a you will surely get one if you stop by the central office on Monday". My kit lens is not long enough for shooting from a distance. |

Colour Balance by KarenNfldComment: I knew i have seen these glases before :-)
Excelent one. Excellent composition, excellent execution. The faloff from the flash on the backdrop works. I like the outtake too. A superb example where centered horizon works. Actually i like the outtake better :-)

Backlighting, Rule of Thirds, Stop Action by damjanevComment: Originally posted by michelaudette: I like but over processed a bit ;) |
I looked like that to me also.
I should have reshot it with a bit more exposure on the background, but the "studio" (one corner of my living room) was all cleaned and mopped up when i realized it. It was also 3am :-) |

Empty railsby the_rkpComment: Nice one.
Did you try with some more DoF? Aperture closed to the max, and focus at hyperfocal. |

Deep DOF - Leading Lines - Rule of Thirdsby DCrest01Comment: Y U NO RIBBON? :-(
I really, really expected this one (among with some others) to lead the pack in the final results list. It has that WOW effect (at least on me), it has deep DOF, it has leading lines and is an excellent example of application of the rule of thirds.
