I don't know whether i like or dislike the blown highlights in the top half of the background. Either way the image invokes strong emotions in me. I also like how the pink clothes make her stand out. If only she was looking the other way it would have been perfect.
Have you tried selective desaturation? I would have :-)

A more pleasing crop (to me) on this one would be if the horizon was a little lower and the rocks ending in the very corner (lower left) of the frame.

Excellent example of selective color that i never thought would work. I always thought that fiery colors (red, yellow, orange and variations) work best with this technique, never blue.

There is only one thing that bothers me in this otherwise excellent image. The lighthouse is too centered.

I miss the colors in this image. At least on the balloons.
I love the way the negative space on the top interacts with the balloons and the ground.
