The idea is brilliant, but the image lacks overall sharpness, a bit of saturation on the subject and some contrast (darker, if not pitch black, background). It would have been a striking image.

I would have been in my top 5 if only the photographic execution was a bit on a higher level.

Nice one, but i believe that B&W would have worked better here.

BRAVO! One of my top three.
Wonderful duotone, excellent silhouette and beautiful take on the challenge topic. I still cannot decide whether the lens flare bothers me or not :-)

I like it. It's cute and interesting, unlike the challenge topic :-)

My only two remarks are:
- Noise. Lots of it. My philosophy is: "when you must go high ISO, go B&W"
- The composition. A more right, or lower right placement of the subject in the frame would have been more pleasing. At least to me.

Cute.

ETA: Did you, by any chance, had more of those ladybugs? It would have been great to have whole family of them marching in the frame :-) The negative white space works great with this image, but i would prefer if it was a bit whiter.

The reddest red image of all the red images submitted to the Red V challenge.
Excellent composition. I like the way the dark stripe breaks the flow of red. The level of details is excellent as well. My only remark is that i would have preferred a bit more DoF, if possible. Just enough to include the left pat of the frame in focus. That didn't stop to vote 10, thoug.

Bravo!
Kudos to the way you managed to successfully create a striking RED image from all that yellow.

WOW. Just WOW.
Not the typical red tone, but plays well with the dark mood of the image. The composition is right where it should be and the amount of detail on the leaf is astonishing. And all that in minimal editing.
