Orange is the new blackby lei_73Comment: WOW! Her eyes. Soul piercing. The composition goes well with the shallow DoF. They are so strong that they make me look away from the orange cap.
I would bet on this to be a sure winner if only there was something orange to balance those strong eyes. Orange lipstick, orange nail polish (on that only visible pinky) and earrings, orange anorak...
You should have saved it for the free study. |

Braving the Stormby boo8merComment: I like:
- The way the orange bag stands out
- The captured motion of the protagonists as they battle the show storm and the motion of the snow itself.
I don't like:
- That the main protagonist (the lady with the orange bag) got her feet cut off
Some selective desaturation (not necessarily full desaturation) on the non-orange elements might emphasize the bag even more. |

The wonderful world of garbageby hajekaComment: Good one.
Maybe a tad overexposed. It's not about the plate blending in the background, i like that. The herbs and the fruit look burned a bit. |

Going After The Low-hanging Fruitby GeneralEComment: The orange (both as the fruit and the colour) does not have the impact factor that i expect in an orange themed challenge. The fruit is lost between the leaves, the shadows and the ground. It just doesn't stand out in any way. |

g l o w i n g • e m b e r sby Ja-9Comment: Good one.
Darker blacks and some more structure (microcontrast) would have added to the image. Having said that, the border doesn't add a thing. |

The Seerby vawendyComment: Made me laugh.
The humor aside, it's an excellent photo with top notch lighting. Excellent contrast and colors. I would have cropped a bit from the camera left side, behind the subject. |

Snow Orangesby Bear_MusicComment: Interesting one. I like how the white of the snow and the orange of the orange complement each other. It's not the most photogenic sample of the orange fruit family, though. The harsh shadows could have been avoided if you shot the scene from the other side. |
