The adjustments you made do give the shot a night time feel. The eye keeps trying to straighten the trees against the horizon but I think the larger trees in the background on the left correct for that for the most part. The light source seems too bright for the moon but one's mind automatically makes allowances for that because of the overall night time effect. Still, it's a little bit distracting in the sky (the way the light falls on the snow both background and foreground is lovely).
