Strive to Reach the Unreachableby darnokComment: Haven't we seen this fence a few times before? I know that you have done well here, and frankly this is another lovely shot, but how often can you mine the same ground and strike gold?
That said, a lovely shot with nice detail in the foreground, the only knock is the rather stiff "look at me I'm an airplane" pose of the model. He interrupts a great example of leading lines that reinforce your text. |

- In Nature , Nothing is Perfect yet Everything is Perfect -by andrewtComment: This has a delicacy that I do not associate with the heavy handed graphic style of the motivational poster. It might cost you a vote or two, but if this was on the market, I bet it would sell at least as well as the established aesthetic. Just about perfect. |

FLY !by StructorComment: This image looks like it belongs in the other challenge. It is a fine image, but it speaks of the warning of past disasters that is not a powerfull motivational tool. |

Perseveranceby jrmyrnsmComment: Ink instead of pencil lines would have been more believable. That said everything else about this image is strong, best in show so far. |

Sunday morningby Rino63Comment: I like the similar patterns you pick up in the cushions, shoe fabric and rug, but the furniture here is more implied than present. |

Gloomy Couchby michaelhfComment: I relay like the mood here but it just seems so soft. The grimy industrial vibe is better served by picking up on lots of mid tone contrast, here it is as soft as a pillow. |

Nefariousby JudiComment: Lovely shot Judi, I like the way the greens play off the violets, the softness of the image while keeping lots of detail; but you must have known that the stool is too small a part of the image to score much more than 5.7, in free study it would have done much better. A far better image than a challenge entry. |

Mosaic Tree Shines On Cypress Sunby rodfulkComment: This looks like an interesting lamp, but the amount of flash used robs it of the quality of the light it might emit. I'll bet those little pieces of cut glass bend and play with the light moving through them, but I can't see it here. Closer in with more lamp and less living room and less flash, and this could have been so much more. |

The Garden Chairby sfmorrisComment: Another Topaz thread veteran? I love the painterly touch here. Nice tones, mood and shadings. I particularly like the leading like of the chair arm coming out of the corner to escort the eye into the frame. This would make a lovely print. That said, DPC seems to like it's manipulation more hidden than this, but lets hope you don't get hammered for what is a good job here. |
