Colour Artby nutzitoComment: Well lit, believable and appropriate subject and nice busy frame full of art. One quibble, you posed the subject as if he were in the act of painting, and the unloaded brush and a pallet that has none of the colors of the painting makes it clear that he is not doing any such thing. The lie sort of diminished the photograph for me. Posed in front of his work, fine. Faking it well, fine. But why make such a false gesture in what is otherwise such a nice shot? |

my long lost passionby xtianComment: I wish we had a chance to see more of the work, the very narrow DOF isn't helping here. good color balance and framing. On reflection, I don't see how that wide cut pencil is supposed to create what looks like a very fine series of lines |

The Crowning Touchby wildirisComment: given the essential balance of the image , the rotated frame doesn't work for me. lighting and background are very good. |

The Old Man & The Angelby JacksonGarietyComment: Originally posted by DCNUTTER: Gaussian blur is not allowed in basic as you found out....wait..yes it is actually. So why the DQ? |
Gaussian is allowed, but spot editing isn't, so it has to be applied at the same amount across the entire image. |

HRH 426by MelethiaComment: the only problem with people praising outtakes is you get to feel good about taking a nice shot, and at the same time feel bad about your selection. I like this one, well above a five, fur shure. |
