A small shift in the angle to get the arm and fist contacting the earth ( which is the power of this shot) out from in front of the body and knee, would give this a touch more power. The clssic super hero "I draw power from the earth" pose is left knee down, right knee up, right fist on ground, right hand doing something important, 7/8ths or 3/4 view. Once you shoot it, you will see variants everywhere from comic books to the opening credits of Colbert Report.

The fog effect looks a bit too localized for me here. How would it look if you pushed it out to the corners and had the density fall off towards the middle in a bit softer manner?

Congratulations on getting the biggest differential between my placement and actual finish. I had this rated in the top 2 for the elegant threat you created with negative space. The best use of composition in the camera to use the negative space while so many of the rest of us simply documented what was there, you made something.

I love the turgid motion of the water offset by the slanting rays of light, but I miss the details, on my monitor it seems a tad soft. Had that detail been there it would have been among my favorites as everything else is strong.

I'm not sure how long the exposure is here, but the water, which should be the star of the show, has been reduced to a flat grey sheet. It is a pretty image and the rest of the shot is powerful, but the water looks more like a negative space, imparting no drama and only the slighted reflections of the buildings. Another in a run of nice images where I m having trouble scoring them.

In the attempt to give context, you lost a lot of the drama. That churn of ice and flow look amazing, but most of the image is slightly over saturated trees and rocks. All I want to see is the star of the show and it fills so little of the frame.

It is a great sky but the framing puts so much attention on the drama up there that the water can not compete. Pushed down into the lower fifth of the frame, what should be your star ends up in the back of the chorus.

Its tough getting the close stuff in focus without letting the stuff way way back in the reflection going out of focus, but it is essential in this sort of shot. Here the vague softness of the textures in the foreground steals much of what is n1ce in this shot.

I second Larry's comment. I had it at a 7 for the framing, but with a bit more richness in saturation and contrast in post processing ( like using the multiply layer in PS ) and this would have climbed in the voting.

I'm glad you had something beautiful you could use from your trip, and this is stunning.
