Aerial attack!!by dickwilhelmComment: this is a good capture of an obviously difficult moment to get. it's let down slightly by the after effect of what appears to be a very high ISO setting, and the level of noise is noticeable. 6. |

Exploding Glassby JudiComment: doesn't look like glass though - seems like water in a shape of a bottle which is actually kinda cool in an Absolut ocmmercial kind of way (you should have rotated it 180°!) it's obviously superb in a technical sense, and the bottle-deformed shape does add something new to a concept that is so familiar (given a similar shot is one of the most ever viewed here on the site). 8. |

Rushby elsapoComment: this is great on so many levels, and for so many reasons. the principal thing is the overall look and style of the shot, makes the whole thing very period. i love the colours, the sett pavings, the way she seems to be levitating. great clothing too. the only slight thing is the weird lighting behind her outstretched arm and the slight halo effect round her back, seems like slightly wrong burning or dodging... but it's a relatively minor thing; overall this is a great example of great, characterful and stylish photography. 9. |

1,2,3,4by pinbokeshattaComment: okay, one jet would have been impressive - four strikes me as greedy! no, this is a very lovely aeronautic picture; the formation suits the framing very well, and would make a lovely poster. the sky is nice, though a bit flat, and the only real slight criticism is that the colours of the planes feel a bit too bold and contrasty... that aside, i think this is a great picture, pin sharp and visually super. 9. |

Target Practiceby NstiG8trComment: it's cool, but lacks a bit of creativity that kind of diminishes the awe-inspiring wowness of the shot; somewhat inevitable if you try to emulate on of the most viewed pictures on the site. there is no denying it's technically excellent, but it feels emotionally cold and not very stirring. 7. |

Airby TerramarComment: excellent capture and great example of this sort of shot. your choice of angle is grand, really enhancing the airborne nature of the picture. having the board upside down only enhances this. the blue tinged duotone works well in a moody and urban way, which suits it too. nice and sharp, has not been excessively burned round the edges. top stuff - 10 |

Ahhhhh... Hot Rock Massageby SunnieeComment: it does have zen qualities, this, though the rocks, what with there colour, texture and shininess, d look a bit like a row of poos, which isn't very zen. i do wish the candles were a little bit closer too, i think that would add to the ambience a little bit. 6. |

... simplicity ...by GuGiComment: visually appealling image this. not sure about its zenness in its truest sense, but as art it's very lovely. i might have been tempted to go over the set and handle bars with the burn tool (look a bit washed out grey) and maybe shift it along to the left a bit composition wise, but those things aside, it's very nice. i love the large expanse of wall. 7. |

Innocenceby JacquiDComment: i like the black and white, the closeness to the subject, his demeanour and cuteness, and the water on his furry head. it is let down overall by being not sharp enough, and in terms of composition i thik it would be more visually pleasing if he was a bit lower down. still undeniably cute though. 5. |

Where I Find Peace.by Nikonian NinjaComment: first the meeting challenge bit; apart from the title there really isn't very much that conveys a sense of zen. harmony was one word i think used in the description, and a near derelict tin shed in the middle of a field doesn't really give that impression. HOWEVER, it's a great picture still - the sky has a great sense of foreboding drama (which also isn't very zen), the greens nicely oversaturated to great effect, and the shed itself been treated well (albeit seems a little on the excessively noisy side). really good stuff, though 7. |
