Lovely shot - best I've voted on so far. Have you tried using a program called NeatImage to help get rid of the grainyness of the sky and it's reflection? The demo is free to download. (there's also a dot centre-left... dust on the lens?) 7/10

Really like this - especially the way the background is VERY blurred. Almost lookes like the flower has been spot-editted though... the edges look outlined.

Lovely shot - I like the contrast of the bright colours and grey sky. Maybe the plane takes up a bit much of the scene for this challenge?

nice, but seems a bit blurry - could be out of focus, or is it due to fast movement?

great shot, but don't see how it fits the challenge - what's the focal point? I'd say it's the rock, and it definitely takes up most of the image

Nice - might look better in black and white?

I like the colour, but don't feel there's a real point to this image - doesn't grab me

Nice shot - meets the challenge, and well composed, but I think the overall image is let down by the background. Maybe you could have used a shallower DOF to blur the background, or had a more plain/white sheet closer to the board?
Still - well done. Better than a lot of the other chess shots

Brilliant! For me this is by far the best of the chess photos that have appeared in the challenge, mainly because the soldier just helps create the feeling of a battle grounds. Even though he's the one out of place, he makes you think the other pieces are all ready to fight as well :-) Well done!
