Having a tough time sussing out what happens to the texture over the clock.

Definitely more a double exposure and not a texture overlay.

Responding to your request for feedback, I don't know that I can help you understand why it didn't do better. It's a brilliant portrait. If I'm being picky I might have fixed the mascara fleck below her left eye, and perhaps removed the red spot by the eye brow. But again, I'm being picky. I did not vote this time, but if I had it would have been a 7 for me, maybe an 8. Free studies tend to be a wallpaper show and shots like this are often tragically under-rewarded.

It's a really nice shot and nicely processed, but for me it feels upside-down in all the ways you don't want. If that's the way it was shot then it needs to be flipped, and if you flipped it you shouldn't have. I don't know how much more the flip would make a difference for me - probably a point, but this may have wound up a 6 either way for me in a FS.

It's a wonderful scene, but there's too much pulling my eye away from the waterfall even after I see it. The easiest way to understand what needs to be fixed is to view the entire image and then slowly scroll down to the comments - when 1/3 the image disappears all of a sudden it pops. You could leave it the same width and you'd be fine. 5 as is for me, but there's a 7 or 8 in there.

Congrats on the ribbon. Love the rather unexpected foreground with the lightning.

Everything from the trees on down is a nice shot. The "sky" treatment is just... not good.

My favorite so far with the imbalanced balance. Well seen and taken.
