Untitledby 2mccsComment: Great lines and a good subject for the challenge. A little over sharp.
Side note, there's just a little too much lost in the inky blackness in the bottom right. I tried it on 3 different monitors to make sure, then pulled a copy into Photoshop with a darker background and it lightened up just fine. The light grey does this all the time to B&W shots here, which is unfortunate, so maybe double check the appearance of darker areas after uploading in the future. |

i've... seen things you people wouldn't believe...by mefnjComment: I love it and hate it all at the same time. So much good stuff there but the painterly filter makes me want to move on quickly. Maybe if you'd used a Soft Light blend mode to augment the original? 5 for me as is but I know it could have been a top 5. |

some squashby tnunComment: The interesting thing here to me is the pretzel center of the inverted melon. The rest just pulls you away from it, particularly what was originally the very dark spot at the bottom. |

Contemplationby Donna-DeeComment: My first reaction to seeing this was, "And...?" It's something I ask myself a lot with macro photography (which yours technically isn't), my own especially. This is well done for the most part, but outside of that I'm left to wonder why you are showing it to me, which is why I am one of your 5's.

Two Bridgesby JakeKurdsjukComment: Originally posted by giantmike: Cool view of a cool structure. IS it just me, or is the vignetting incredibly strong here? |
Do me a favor and let me know if you think the vignetting is still strong now that it can be viewed at full size. On my MacBook Pro the horizontal 1200px gets slightly squeezed and after seeing your comment I agreed with it and thought "why hadn't I seen that?", but now that I'm seeing it at full res again there's details I see that got lost in the compression. It was a heavy vignette to try and deal with some distractions in the corners but I thought I was careful not to overdo it. Perhaps not. |

Seljalandfoss Waterfall, Icelandby Chris_AngComment: Lovely scene that just got killed in post. Over sharp and over saturated by a long stretch. This is a wonderful composition. If there's a challenge where you get to reprocess a previous entry go with this one - there's at least an HM in here. |

Dune Fence, Midwinterby Bear_MusicComment: Lovely detail. Blues feel a little oversaturated and it's a little dark in the midrange. Lovely image otherwise. |

Buðir black churchby andrewtComment: Lovely landscape. Church is a little dark. Perhaps brighten it a bit to counter the sundrenched portion of the mountains. Maybe even cheat a bit and add some golden hour coloring to it? |
