Showdown by mefnjComment: I am pretty knew here and haven't interacted much. When I saw this shot I had to click on it to appreciate it better.
I then read the varying comments about the subject and quite confused at what I perceive a sad imbalance in what we respond too.
I believe millions of people are severely hurt by pornography. If someone submitted an "artistic" photo with someone holding a porn magazine, instead of a gun, would there be any reaction at all? I wonder??? People hurt People, with whatever is at hand.
I grew up with guns on the farm. They are a tool, as other things are. I believe these video games that many of these young adults have played for years do more to promote violence, and need to be severely regulated, not guns. Message edited by author 2013-01-11 21:38:25. |

Frankenstein - Mary Shelley's Nightmareby Alex_PetriniComment: I like the props, composition. Also the way the candle light reflect off the chair is pleasing. One thing I don't care for so much is the appearance of another light source being used. So many other images were well light by what only seemed to be candle light. Perhaps a different white balance would have given a nicer affect. |

Pumpkin Spice Delightby apercepComment: The crystal in the lantern is pleasant to look at. I like how the light is cast through the openings in the top of it. |

Magic of lightby DarkpixelComment: I remember looking at candles as a child in just this way. It is a good photo, but doesn't quite match the other photos in this challenge regarding creativity and composition. |

enlightenment by BrennanOBComment: You have caught the essence of what you wanted to say through this image. I like the subtle things, like the ring on his had that captures some of the light. I am curious what the reddish spot is above his left eye? |

one candelaby MarkkittoComment: I prefer to see a candle that lights an object, or creates a meaning to the picture. |

Study Timeby illini75Comment: This nicely expresses a time gone by. You must have had another candle on the right side of the desk and it balanced the light very nicely. |

Vinoby jgilfillComment: If I could see the item to the left of the candle I would perhaps have had a greater opinion of it. |

A bride to be?by beatabgComment: This is a fun picture to look at. I like the brides eyes. They say everything that could possibly be going through a brides mind just before the big moment.
This is also well composed and edited. |
