You really captured a piece of this person's personality - which is really what makes a great portrait. I think you're going to do well because all other elements are pitch perfect - tone, lighting, sharpness, etc.

What beautiful blue eyes. This image really captures the essence of childhood. It's a great shot. My only suggestion would be to do some processing work in PhotoShop around the colours. For some reason, the baby's face picked up a bit of the blue of the outfit. Maybe playing with the channels and the contrast would help it a bit. Gotta love that soft baby skin.

A very interesting idea for this challenge. My only suggestion would be to enter a larger image. For some reason, smaller pixel sizes don't do as well in challenges. Good luck!
