I'm not sure if you used a high ISO for this. Digital cameras usually look like crap regardless of light - at any high ISO. Always shoot at 80 to 100 and never higher or you'll get a lot of noise grain. I'm not even sure why digital cameras allow you to shoot at higher ISOs since the noise is always distracting adn the image is usually unprintable. Maybe open the shutter a bit longer to compensate for low lighting. On my monitor the right hand candle is a bit over-pixelated and strange looking.

Was this taken with a cell-phone camera? It seems in focus but it's highly pixelated and it's distracting to the overall image (which is well composed).

I really hope you do well with this. This is my absolute favorite. I love those little frogs. I hope you're able to turn it into a print or sell it to a stock agency when you're done. This is one of hte best photos I"ve seen in DP Challenge in quite a few weeks! Good luck!

I really like this. It's one of my favorites so far and I can see you getting a ribbon with this one (or at least top 10). It does look as though you used a bit too much noise reduction to soften the image and that's a bit distracting. I think I would have liked it just as much without NeatImage or something like that. However, just my personal taste. -9

I know photographs of cats and pets usually get slagged in the DPForums. However, I personally love the animal shots better than the people shots. This one in particular is extremely well done and I just love the expressions. Despite what people think, I know cats are very hard to capture with your camera because oft heir eyes. You did a perfect job. this ia great submission - 10

This seems very out of focus and a bit grainy. I'm not sure how you'd fix it, but it's a tiny bit distracting. However, I can tell you put a lot of work into this and it's a great idea for this challenge -7

OHMYGOD!! I am LOVING all the animal/nature shots in this challenge. This one is fantastic. I just love love love it. It's perfect for lighting, composition, movement, humour, challenge description. My third 10!
