Icy Coldby annependletonComment: A beautiful portrait. Her eyes are wonderful and, for me, the focal point of the image. Nice catchlights. I think the scarf works very nicely, and adds leading lines to her face. The line of the open zipper I feel is a little disctracting and competes with the subject for my attention. I like your black and white conversion. It can be hard to do a nice conversion of a fair-skinned person in fairly flat outdoor light, and this is really nicelt done. |

My life revolves around the Pacifierby JenniferDavidGAComment: I understand all about the pacifier! A very nice shot of this adorable little one. Although she is turned into the shade and mostly side-lit, you got catchlights in her eyes which really helps them sparkle. COmpositionally, she is very centered and I feel like her arms are chopped a little awkwardly. I think I would either crop it looser with more arms at the bottom of the frame and have her off-center to the left, or crop in even tighter so the image is really just her face. This crop/composition seems sort of 'in between'. What a cutie! |

Little Green Christmas Bulbby W.R.MillerComment: I like the DOF and the bokeh from the Christmas light at the bottom of the frame. I find that the white spot of light coming through the branches competes with the ornament for my attention. A nice Christmas shot! 6 |

Updraftby IvoryComment: I like this idea alot. I think it would have been nice to have more light on the leg, to make it more obvious what we are looking at. |

Last of the Leavesby twm122Comment: Very cute! Nice DOF with the leaves in the background. I love the backlit, curly hair. It is perfect. I wonder if you could have not used your flash here. I think it would make a world of difference if you had found a spot with nice natural light. The flash lighting is very flat and doesn't do his cute face justice. |

Look Back Without Angerby unicumComment: I think this was a 'compositional' challenge, and this is a great unconventional compostion. The composition totally adds strength to the story being told by her gaze and pose (and the title). I really like this. |

Zachary Posingby ConnComment: I think this wouldhave been better off-center, with more negative space to the right for him to "look into". I like your low-key here. Well lit. I know it is hard to pose the little guys, but I think his hands spread apart like that are distracting, becuase they are a little 'disembodied' with the black shirt. |

Tubby Time!by mimsydotesComment: Although I can see that you increased the contrast to create this 'high-key' look, the light itself is actually pretty flat. On camera flash is really tough to use and get good results with for portraits. I know that bathrooms can be difficult for window lighting, but natural light would have really imroved this image. I love his expression and the angle is nice and whimsical for this shot. I think it would be better without his hands cut off. You have a really cute little one, here. |

Roses are Red.....by jrtoddComment: I think the angle is so high on this shot that it is almost dizzying. Stepping back a little (or crounching on the stairs or whatever) would have allowed her to look up without looking like she is about to fall backwards down the stairs. Very nice lighting and I like your b/w conversion. |
